It’s all about conditioning. The first time you shave anywhere (face, neck, genitals, whatever) Your skin isn’t gonna like it. But you gotta keep doing it repeatedly to let the skin get used to it. What I do is, I take a hot shower, and at the end of it (while still in the shower) I sit down with a razor (Gilette 5 blade) and some shaving cream. (soap works too, generally.) Later up the area and gently begin shaving. The razor is a lot safer than you might imagine and will glide easily on your warm, wet, and soaped skin. The point of waiting til the end of your shower is that the warm water will open up the hair follicles so that when you shave, the hair removes easier.
